Arriving and getting around Leeds

The Gaping Goose is easily accessible by all main routes into the city and is approx 7 miles from the centre of Leeds. Public transport in Leeds and Garforth on the whole is very reliable and we are happy to advise you on the best routes to get you to your chosen destinations. The train station located in Garforth is approximately 1 mile from The Gaping Goose, walking will take about 20 minutes and by taxi approximately £5. Taxis are also available directly outside the train station. There is a good bus services running every 15 minutes into Leeds and the bus stop is directly opposite The Gaping Goose.

Local Amenities

Located within a 10-minute walk from The Gaping Goose are the following local amenities should you need them:- Co-op, Post Office, petrol station and Spar shop Halifax, Barclays and HSBC banks, local pharmacy, hairdressers and barbers shop. You're never too far away from authentic Italian and Indian restaurants.

Further afield is Arndale Shopping Centre is approximately 3 miles from The Gaping Goose where you will find a variety of shops including supermarkets, clothing and fashion, electrical, entertainment and home interiors. There is also a variety of cafes and fast food outlets.

Arriving at The Gaping Goose

The Gaping Goose is located in the village of Garforth approximately 7 miles outside of Leeds. It is situated on a well lit reasonable busy road with good local access. The front of the building has a slip road off the main road with parking for cars, with further parking at the rear and sides of the property. Entrance at the front is gained through a door measuring 84cm wide with a 2 small steps measuring 6cm and 13cm. This leads into a small passageway where you will pass through 2 more doors measuring 84cm wide, into a lounge area. There are 2 rooms off the lounge both with easy access and with doors measuring 84cm. There is also a door leading onto a decking area which is the designated smoking area with tables and chairs, heaters and lights. There is a small step at the side of the bar measuring 14cm which leads to both ladies and gentlemens toilets both with 2 doors each and measuring 76cm. The corridor is 3m long.

Accommodation Description

The accommodation is reached from the rear of the building down one step measuring 13cm and through 2 doors both measuring 76cm. You will then go up 13 steps measuring 20cm onto a corridor which is 4m, 800cm long. At the end of the corridor is the breakfast room with a open doorway measuring 76cm. Bedroom 1 is a twin / double with en suite. It has two steps measuring 16cm onto a small landing before going through a door measuring 76cm. En suite bathroom door also measures 76cm. Bedroom 2 is a twin / double with en suite, again 1 small step measuring 16cm into room with doors measuring 76cm.
